However there will be a jamboree event on in The Cluny Newcastle on the Saturday night ( 20th June) with Hatz Fitz & Cara, Bluebell Cajun Band, David Broad Trio & Kentucky Cowtippers.(Doors -7pm)
Lathe Revival will be bringing the1938 Presto lathe & do some live 78 record recordings. Steve Drayton will m’cee & Stagger Lee Fisher will dee jay. Tickets are £13.00 adv.
The whole weekend offers hot authentic music, along with great food, our own craft ales & bar, quirky stalls, a real mad hatter tea party (Dodgy Clutch Theatre Company), the Lathe Revival with portable 78 recording machine & wax cylinder, Mr Fisher the weekend deejay & Mr Drayton’s record player in a cave, a summer solstice midnight surprise, free camping, 6 posh plumbed in toilets, two great beach/forest walks by the farm, kids games, hay bales , a big bona fide campfire, a brand new flower garden & loads parking space on the farm and a safe environment near the quaint beach at Hawthorn nr Easington.
We have specialist catering. We’ll also have Jarrow Breweries on board, making our very own Jamboree Ale in the festival bar, alongside all the other beers/wines & soft drinks.
The Jamboree is delighted again to present the Lathe Revival with live recordings on a 1938 Presto lathe which will take place with the added bonus of a wax cylinder.We will have a special showing of the film Gateshead college made for Jumpin’ Hot Club 30th anniversary & Amber films have agreed to show some rare music clips from their secret garden @ Summertyne Fest. Finally we’ll have T-shirts for sale this year !!!!
Fri 19th – Gates open 5pm: café open 6pm – Live music from outside barn 7.00 pm, campfire session 9.15pm.
Sat 20th – Live music from Midday – Midnight + summer solstice campfire
Sun 21st – Live music all afternoon until teatime.
